Dietitian 

GENERAL INFORMATION

Our Dietitian provides pediatric nutrition counselling to address your individual nutrition concerns, which may include:

  • Starting Solids – Navigating when, what, and how to introduce solids to your baby.  Including best practices for allergy prevention.

  • Growth Concerns – Addressing issues with poor growth, failure to thrive, and overweight.

  • Constipation – Helping to break the cycle of constipation in young children.

  • Healthy Eating – Optimizing nutrition for toddlers to teens.

  • Nutrient Deficiencies – Specific recommendations tailored to your child’s needs.

  • Feeding the Family – Helping you make sense of your family’s needs – everything from difficult mealtimes, allergies to vegetarian nutrition.

  • Picky Eating can involve several factors and is most effectively addressed by the feeding team (Dietitian + Occupational Therapist/Speech Language Pathologist)

FEES AND PAYMENT

Fees

Initial Appointments (75 minutes) - $200

Follow-Up Appointments (60 minutes) - $155

Payment is due at the end of your appointment.  We accept debit and credit card.

Many extended health care plans cover Registered Dietitian services.  Contact your extended health care provider to see if they cover these services or if your plan includes an “expense account” that can be used to cover these services from registered health care providers.  We do not do direct billing, however, we will provide you with a receipt that can be submitted to your provider for reimbursement.  Dietitian services may also be claimed as a medical expense on your income tax. 
 

We also accept Autism Funding (AFU) for children over 6 years old.  We are not covered by MSP.

YOUR APPOINTMENT

What To Expect

  • Dietitian will complete a detailed nutrition assessment including your primary concerns, allergies, medications and supplements, growth history, and diet history.

  • Dietitian will provide a written summary of recommendations based on your primary concerns and their assessment.

 

What To Bring To Your Appointment

  • list of any medications your child takes

  • list of any supplements your child takes (including brand and dosage) – can take photo of bottles for ease

CANCELLATION POLICY

Your appointment time has been specifically booked for you. If you are unable to attend your scheduled appointment, please be advised that all appointment cancellations require at least 48 hours notice.

We value our patient’s time and want to ensure that those in need of our services can access any schedule openings with fair notice.  For this reason, appointments cancelled with less than 48 hours notice will be subject to a cancellation fee of $80 (which can be used as a credit towards your next visit).
