Chicken fingers and plain pasta again?

Getting your children involved in cooking is a great way to expose your kids to different types of food and improve fine motor skills. It will also give your child a sense of responsibility as they help make the family dinner. PLUS - they are front and center when you're cooking and therefore NOT unrolling all the toilet paper.

Ask your child to..

  1. Wash leafy greens or grapes, given them a basin and a small scrub brush

  2. Tear vegetables like kale and chard into pieces.

  3. Pour dry foods like beans into a bowl.

  4. Stir with a small whisk or spoon

  5. Wipe and clean up the cooking space.

Enjoy connecting with your child in the kitchen!
